FX-1 Anybody ever try a Mag pump in an FX-1?

Nice. What do you think of it? Have you compared it to just running a standard 144 pump conversion? What did you use for a drive shaft?

FX-1 Anybody ever try a Mag pump in an FX-1?

I'm thinking about doing it. I have a 12 vein setback off my superjet that I'm going to part out. I don't know that I can get what I want for the pump, so I thought, maybe I can throw it in the FX-1 rather then a standard 144. Anybody ever try it?

    Next best Mod

I cut that hose so the end sits basically flush with the hood seal. When it gets crimped up like that you lose air flow. I cut the front one too so its only about an inch long.

Your way sounds like it would take alot of upper body strength. I think I'll try it though because I'm 6'1"

Anybody running an Ocean Pro steering nozzle?

Whoops, yea OP nozzle, duh. Thanks for the advice on that. When you say modify/fab a bracket, do you mean the bulk head fitting that comes out the hole in the pump area? I'm not quite understanding. I don't suppose you have a picture of your setup?

Anybody running an Ocean Pro steering nozzle?

I have the protec extended oval steering nozzle with the divider in it. When I ran the blaster a couple weeks ago for the first time with it, I destroyed the steering cable. The cable was pretty old and decrepid, so I chaulked it up to a bad cable. A couple days ago, with a brand new OEM...

    Which head??

The only reason you would want a girdled head is to keep the cylinder from cracking. Its a good idea to put one on. You only need to run race gas if you're compression is higher then 190lbs, so the question is, what's your compression? What are you running for a pipe? If you're running...

    Seat?

I just had mine done by Jet trim, and it came out great. The total, minus shipping, was $170 for the mod, the cover, and all the labor. The mod seat is more than just the shaved hump, they actually cut down the low point of the seat so it goes even lower.

    Rebuilding Carburator TIPS????

Good tip there. I'll do the hammer thing next time. And for the check valves, alot of times I end up damaging them just trying to install them and end up using the originals anyway.

    Rebuilding Carburator TIPS????

I bet the check valve is in there. Sometimes they get stuck to the paperwork or the packaging. You gotta be careful when you open the package. One thing that gives me trouble on carb rebuilds is the two screws that hold the piece that goes on top of the jets. I always end up having to...

Something must be wrong with this!!

It never hurts if the guy you buy from is clueless as to what he has. You never know, that thing might have a skat pump on it!! Let me know if you part it. If you end up with a great deal you should hook me up with first dibs for the info.
