It actually just discredits you and the company you work for by showing you have the data but are not prepared to show it to your customers.
This can only make me and clearly most of the other people on here that you dont have confidence to stand behind your product over some one elses.
Most...
Why is that, is that because people would lie about the figures. I guess then you can see why a comparison on the same dyno would have merit
you could overlay all graphs and people could see what they were spending there money on
Its not about how much they make as in so much as what they make in comparison to the other ones out there.
When you buy food at a shop you look at what in the food so you can compare what better. When you buy a car you compare specs to other cars specs. When you buy a billet engine you compare...
Would you buy a crate engine off some one for 10k if it made less them another compaines engine for the same 10k
Of course not, that why it makes a difference you can see value for money
Independendent testing on the same dyno. I agree most people here arent going to buy one and the manufactuers are not about to let some one else dyno there engines. If they lost the dyno test then they would lose alot of sales. Personaly I have built alot of billet engines and lamey old cast...
Thats right Motoman.
Serioulsy if your going to show us pics of your full billet engine on a dyno you cant convince us you dont have a power output for it and the only reason I caan see you would not post it is clearly it doesnt go as high as you would like and it will not look very impressive...
No it wont, the figures are not as big as every one proclaims and it will not help sales at all. There will be alot of disappointed people out there. I dont so much care what they make but what they make against other comparative engines so we can see whose is the best engine.
While I admire your cad work I have to say if you think torque figures dont mean much then your very very wrong.
torque figures are what sends us down the lake.
hp sells torque moves isnt that the old saying.
If you have these engines on the dyno you would know what they make ??
why dont you...
bang on, and these engines also have a cvt so they dont have to pull from low rpm, so they can be built for a higher and peakeir out put. where a jetski has to pull from low down.
Yes thats right its not about the power its about who has the most and the best delivery.
But as long as bogus figures are being quoted then its just bigger and bigger to make it look better. so figures get based on the seat of the pants dyno
yup thats about what a 787 makes. Thats with the ve cylinder assuming you have the ve cylinder so 3 exhaust ports and 7 transfers rotary valve so we know they breath very well.
Let think about it
a triple cylinder runabout motor from a race boat makes about 260 hp is what we were told.
Thats with one pipe per cylinder and a much greater space between the cylinders adding to a huge advantage in the transfer port shape and volume.
As well as a much larger and better...
yeah I want to see torque figures and area under curve, Thats what really means something.
I would love to see some of these engine dynoed. expect to see some hearts broken as massive figures just dont seem to stack up like they promised.
It would seem if some one was told that they had 150 and...
Ahh ok
I think the limiting factor for a b-pipe is that it was not designed for engines as big as we are doing these days and so the header and the divergent cone are taken out side there spec. Also they join the cylinders together alot sooner than a dry pipe. Anytime a single pipe is used on a...
The factory dry pipe makes more power, however it doenst have the same throttle response. The dry pipes have more power every where you grab the throttle and hang on. however if you want to just play the throttle on the waves ie small throttle inputs its not as good.
The power factor runs the old style type 8 manifold, there is no power loss by the bend in the pipe. the pipe is so big where it turns its not an actual restriction.
