I just picked up a set of rad valves on ebay. Am I going to have to rejet when I put them in? How do I know if the reeds need to be replaced? Any other feedback or tips?

I think malones new topdeck is pretty close to an octane. I don't get this rule. What advantage could someone gain by a radically different topdeck? The length and width I can see but you could always run a diff hull. The whole jury thing too is very broad most people will think a sj, sx/sxi...
I had a prob similar to this. It would run fine just off idle but when you punch it it would misfire or run on one cylinder. I swapped out the coil and it was all better. It got progressively worse from bogging to misfireing to no spark.
I already have the sleeves out since one was chipped. All you need is a grill or an oven to get them out. How much can I take off the bottom of the cylinder before the ring will pop out?
People buy sunk boats from the insurence companies and recover them. If it was insured the insurence company probably owns it. You could try and contact the previous owner through reg records and see if it was insured. Or just keep it.

I used those t nuts they sell at hardware stores for furniture. Glassed them in then turfed over them. YOu heat up the turf with a heat gut then give it a tap with a rubber mallet and it makes a perfect cut out in the turf. I have yet to use them though.
I've seen some use spacers where they screw them too the sides and counter sink the screw head. If your screwing into the ski why not put in a footstrap or two. They are pretty cheap for the basic dakine straps.
Those carbs look like 44's, good deal. I started a build from pretty much scratch but never painted it. It's not that hard get a manual and your set between here and pwc archives. I would consider buying a decent used motor rather then rebuilding that one right now unless your doing pretty much...
