Yes hard to go past stock 46 mikunis. They will run on most skis from 701 up.
A good easy to carb to tune and get good power out of.
I have used 48 novis on a 701 boat with great throttle reponse is just takes more tuning to get it thats all
Im suprised they gained 30% with a vertical reed. Most people went away from this design years ago. Most modern cases will have the reed horizontal and firing over top of the crankshaft, these are firing straight into the crankshaft. The cylinder looks good nice to see a few people are pushing...
Technially the dasa is not that good a cylinder if you look at the transfers. The reason being the 118 mm centers of the crankshaft dont allow for well designed transfer tunnels.
There is not much they could do about it using conventional thinking. ebrig is not using conventional thinking to get...
The 3 cylinders are better for the reason that you can get the same power as the twins and still retain some reliability. The extra weight also helps with handling on a race boat as well
Its been more than two years. He was talking to me about it close to 4 years ago. Its out standing wha the has done. I have seen what he has done from the bottom. its a good thing
You have to change all at the same time. other wise it just going to screw up the rest of the setup. Yes at 35 thou you will be fine with your squish as long as your crank , bearings are all ok
Ok well got your pm so here we go.
As some one posted the specs above would be a good place to start.
Your main is way to big for your bottom. thats whats causing your gurgling issue. The low speed jet should really be called the every where jet the main is more of a trim to the major fuel flow...
I think what group k is out dated in respect to the carbs out there but the law of physics hasnt changed. When he was talking about signal he was pretty good. The carbs have changed a fair bit but the principal is the same. They all work on the princibal of air flow creating a low pressure and...
Would you be saying then that relative air density means nothing if you use an oxygenated fuel.
You also stated that he can give a perfect tune if you give him your information are you then suggesting that every one is using a fuel that magically doesnt care about rad( relative air density and...
How does he account for realitive air density for people in different locations Gil ??. Or do Black jacks magically not suffer from changes in air density like every other carb does. Do you go down to your ride spot and measure the water temp so he can know the exact temp your engine runs at in...
yes they sell them here. They are a good carb. But the question was about the best carb. In my experience the black jack is not anywhere as near as good as the novi
