I just did a back to back xs1000 and dasa 1100, same hull back to back. Full ride report soon, we are making changes with timing and compression on the dasa 1100 & will have more info soon.
Hit Irish Kevin's... Just YouTube it.... One of the coolest bars to hang out at...
Rick's is a fun bar also
Sunset pier is nice.. I normally stay at the ocean key house which is 0 Duvall St/sunset pier
Lots of stuff always going on in key west
Well said Matt, I wasn't trying to be an a** hole with that post, but in our FW setups weight is everything , also where the weight is placed. So to drop that much weight is a big deal, now if only I could drop 10 lbs!
Never going to believe this.... First thing this morning I push the ski out side on the stand to bake in the sun.... No big deal right
The wind blew the forking ski over... Man was I pissed
The hull only had 3 small marks I can live with, but the hood is forked
I ride all my ski's with a tight pole, my FW ski I like tighter than my surf ski but still tight so you can let go & the pole is still there....
I guess its what you get use to.... I can't jump on a ski with a losse pole and enjoy it
Got the top deck painted.... Got some turf & pad coming from Thrust.... Got my 2 foot straps ready... Tem's got my pole done! Ski is going together nicely
Now I just need the motor, pipe, carbs, etc
3-4 wks until I'm on the water
Turn key.... If you can't flip this ski stop riding!

I'm also not a fan of the oem hood seal with a freak. I'm going to try some foam window seal I got from lowes, used the same stuff on my lpw sk and it worked great.
If you use the watcon seal you gotta brap strap it and let it sit over night
That's my .02
