Other Heading Down to Key West

Seeking some suggestions from you florida guys, im heading down to Key West next friday for a vacation with the gf, and unfortunately i cant pack my ski and throw it on the plane with me... so what i'm really just looking for are suggestions on things to do, and or places to stop, i will be flying into Fort Lauderdale from NY and then renting a car and driving the rest of the way down.

Open to suggestions as i haven't been to key west in a number of years.

Oh yeah, who wants to let me ride their ski? hahaha

the keys are awesome!! make sure you stop in islamorada at the world famous tiki bar and throw down some tasty rumrunners
Key west is a huge party town. you can rent skis and take a nice tour around the entire area then rent some scooters and party it up on Duval street

I'm heading up to long point key in two weeks ...can't wait! their no place like the keys...you'll love it!

Rick's is a fun bar also

Sunset pier is nice.. I normally stay at the ocean key house which is 0 Duvall St/sunset pier

Lots of stuff always going on in key west

Stop for 20-30 minutes at Robbie's Marina and feed the tarpon, there is nothing like it. It is near Islamorada.

No Name Pub on Big Pine Key for some good pizza, right around the corner from there is the Key Deer refuge (bonus points with the GF)

In KW there is the usual KW stuff, it has turned into a tourist trap over the last 10 years, but still fun.

Look into trips out to the Dry Tortugas.

wow this is funny, I plan on making the same trip in the next month or so. flying into ft lauderdale and renting a car.
Irish Kevins is an awesome time, and feeding those tarpon is fun too.

I'm looking to try something different this time around as I have done a lot of the touristy stuff on the last few times i've been down there.

Snorkling on Dry tortgus was a pretty nice time. Key West is a blast
