    Solas impeller ??

Don't know what the A means but hopefully it has a little less pitch than the older 13/17s. I would raise the trailing edge a little and they became excellent behind most 701-760s.

    650sx rebuild and restoration.

I like using some white marble dust with milled fibreglass for filler. That way all the new scratches wont be red.

    Impeller selection

Try it, if it’s too much load it will be very slow spooling up to the pipe. Until a few years ago nearly all available Yamaha impellers overloaded the engine. I have flattened out a lot of them and it saved the owner a lot of frustration.

Runs great on trailer, but not in water

You installed a larger jet and it made the problem worse? Try a smaller jet.

    Impeller selection

Yes, much too steep. It can easily be bent a little flatter and work well.

    X2 750 swap

The Westcoast pipe acts a little shorter than others. You may need to use a lower pitched impeller if a high port cylinder is used.

    Superjet actual weights

Refoaming is a lot of work. I would drill some holes and use an airbrush compressor to dry up the moisture. Then fix the leaks!!!

    Stock SJ prop option

I bet it will outrun the modern large hubs on smooth water.

Do you think a freestyle trim kit contributes to porpoising?

I once disconnected the gimbal cable and ran with the steer nozzle hanging limp. It centered and made no difference in trim once the engine was running.

    Carb tuning is a trip

Just because you are young with limited knowledge doesn't make everyone else inept. I have some very fast race cylinders that I would never use on a pump gas rec boat. The exhaust port is too wide for long piston/ring life and its too tall for good response on cheap gas. Too much of a good...

This tuner has used them all and couldn't find any difference. Theory and reality are having a standoff.

    Carb tuning is a trip

I have run N/S from 1.2-2.3mm, they all worked fine. Or maybe I was delusional??

Help with Carbon Skis and Galvanic Corrosion. How the heck can i keep it in check?

Every metal part needs to be painted, sealed, and coated with grease. Its a lot more work and it makes that cool ski look ugly but its the only way to keep metal in a like new condition. That hole can be repaired with epoxy and fiberglass. Its too bad people like the look of carbon cloth.

    Carb tuning is a trip

It N/S size wont matter much, if any as long as the carb is supplied with a solid stream of fuel. I do like to use 2.0 or larger N/S on single carbs just because they experience double the intake cycles and the total jet area is more than 1.5MM. You can run oversized pilots and low popoff very...
