Thanks guys for all the props...
Tank wise right now I'm running a 2 gal jazz, but Brian shipped me the 3 gal jazz tank today so I will be changing that out next week.
No issues yet, but I didn't ride long due to the water box temp... I'm going to hit the lake at 7 am tomorrow so ride report...
Its really a fun ski, not to much but enough it demands respect! When you put these big motors on oem ebox & B pipe you get that snap, but take a lot of power away.. but its still fun to ride & perfect for surf & flatwater...
Soon enough Idok will have to swap the pipe to a power factor....
Got the ski all done & to the water for a test ride... Gotta say Brian is damn good on these engine setups. Adjusted idle, everything else was perfect... I built this ski / motor knowing I wasn't going to be impressed or happy with a 900cc motor.. Gotta remember I'm coming from a 1100 & 50 lb...
Should have a water test Monday, I had to modify the power factor box to fit like I wanted... Tricky did th same to his, just makes things run smooth.. Pics tomorrow
To Start out is setup at 190 PSI, 29 Deg timing, Normal MSD FW... Brian wanted to see what this motor would do with a normal setup that 95% of the guys would run...
Don't worry guys, Brian the great guy he is had another set of Custom domes made & shipped them for Saturday... Now thats...
Other than the long pole this ski will flip without trim.... If you watch guys on flatwater , all the flips that go huge use no trim, gotta use brap...
I'm gonna flip this ski for Idok so he knows it will, then he can work on setup wakes for the next 3 months
I have been running MSD TL pro digital systems for the last 3-4 yrs, always had coils mounted next to he msd unit... Should be fine... This little motor is gonna hit nicely with the power factor, race gas, and TL...
Got the Ebox almost done today. Just have a few grounds to hook up, zip tie everything up, fire the motor up and then seal the lid on the ebox... Alot of stuff inside that small box!
Brian at Thrust made this package come together.... He's been send me stuff all week , last package arrives...
I gotta say for flatwater it comes down to what you consider a backflip, yes a 850cc ski will backflip... But your not getting big height with the XFS /XFR with small motors & most guys just get the nose in with smaller motors. Still a flip, but to me a flip is plate to plate for flatwater...
Watty
Nice setup right there, love the Dasa 1100... I'm building another billet Dasa motor , just waiting on some parts...
Illhave to see how everything fits on the tank, I'm going with a 3 gal jazz tank so I can ride 30 - 40 min of surf before coming in.
I really do enjoy building skis...
