It's a woodworking tool, I'm pretty sure I got it at Lowes when they carried General Tools. You can different brands that have plastic sliders 12" long. I use the General with the metal pins the most though, most accurate. Great for turfing also, here's the plastic one in action:
Electric would be ideal for a short freestyle routine. A motor in the hub of the pump, like a thruster pod, no driveshafts, drop in batteries like lawn tractors, instantly reversing pumps…..can’t wait to see the first front flip!
I have some pics of what I did on my Phantom , basically 1” Hydroturf under pad and kick tail wedge built up in layers then covered with 1/4” top coat of your choice. Gonna be the same broad strokes for any foot hold…

I agree with fast, shouldn't need one. But just for stone cold start-ups, which I always do with the hood off, I went this route (rc car primer bulb) just to save cranking on the batt. I also figure 1 less hole in the hull is a good thing, and ditch the fuel selector, 2 less holes in hull is...
You have that bellows pushed on too far? Here’s a pic of my 2007 SJ steering cable (the heavier one) on my ATP pole. Don’t remember any clearance issues….maybe my cable end is different?
