With the midshaft removed, there's nothing supporting the driveshaft. I would expect a bit of movement but that looks excessive. You will need to remove the pump to get a good look at the shaft. I've straightened a few driveshafts but you will need to completely remove it from the pump. Then set...
I'm on the other side of the fence on this. I don't think the pipe mods will hurt much at all. I think it will be a wicked powerful little screamer.
Watch the plug color, rpm's, cylinder and exhaust temp after break in when you can really flog on it. If everything across the board seems a bit...
I know the four strokes have been around a WHILE now but I'm still sinking 2-4k into 2 strokes for customers. I just finished up an XLT800. New crank, 2 new WSM cylinders, pistons, powervalves, and carb overhauls........right at 4k!

Today I finally started coloring the bilge. It's getting the same type treatment I did on my wife's Superjet......colored epoxy! Because plain white is BORING! This one is getting a medium grey. I got the first coat on the bilge bottom. It will take 1 or 2 more. This way we get a super tough...
I also got my glass cloth cut and fit and laid into the hood. And since EVERY corner of the hood has tiny cracks, I reinforced them with a little biax.
