    62t engine mount.

It's actually a vibration damper. Touch a piece of rubber to a tuning fork.......same idea. While it DOES help a little, it's not necessary in most cases. Anybody here ever own a Blaster 200cc quad? Yamaha shoved rubber pads into the cooling fins on the culinder and I believe the head...

You sure about that? Sounds like your health report should have you drinking water and apple juice.............just sayin' lol!

    Basic maintenance for aftermarket motors

On a proper built engine with proper clearances and quality parts..........I see NO REASON to tear down at least until 50 hours or so. Measure clearances and then decide whether to go another 50 or so. The builder can tell you what the inspection interval should be. For example.......my buddy...

Nice........I've never thought of using floor wax. Of course, I normally have all sorts of polish and waxing products on hand anyway for the show cars.

Looks the same unit I have. Turn the heat up, let it warm up, then cook the carbs. Works like a champ! I usually run 1/4 cup of Awesome or purple degreaser in mine.

I need HELP from fellow Gearz Heads

Maybe you need a black and gold, t-tops, tpi, loaded, '85 Trans Am to restore. Prices are climbing nicely on those too. I saved one from going to scrap cause it's a complete car worthy of restoration.

    FX-1 Chopping issue

The early 90's SBN44 were flat inside with NO groove for the o'ring. Seems like 93-94 were hit-n-miss on that style VS the o'ring style. By 95 they ALL had the o'ring style. Not just Yamaha, I'm talking Tigershark and Wet Jet too. Of course, you never know on these things who's messed with what...

    FX-1 Chopping issue

Yep, that's correct. You're good to go! That other one will lead to fuel leakage and strange running problems.

    FX-1 Chopping issue

The flat rubber gasket. You should NOT be able to see that piece of o'ring peeking out in that top right corner. They always include that one but it goes in VERY FEW carbs. You need the one with the smaller teardrop shaped hole.

    FX-1 Chopping issue

That's the wrong gasket. It will leak fuel right where you can see part of the db shaped o'ring.

Any old school guys recognize this engine?

This popped up near me for sale and just wondering if anybody here has any info at all. The seller doesn't know anything about it.

When you need small, quickie repairs,.....I like Marglass or Duraglass. Set up quick like filler but totally waterproof. I've used it on hull bottoms multiple times and filled in Kawi 750 plastic/broken pump shoes with it and never had issues.
