I have the twin to that '98 GTS!! Mine is also pretty mint but needs a crankshaft. What type of fuel line do you use? I just started getting mine from Fast Flow. It seems to be much higher quality than the other translucent tubing out there.

That's the right style. Just an FYI.........I've taken 2 of the cheapo aftermarket carbs OFF of customer skis this summer already. Customers did it themselves and ended up at my shop anyway. I couldn't EVEN make them run right. Rebuilt the oem carbs and all is well.

A little bit of cranking pushed enough of it OUT to actually light off.......and then...

    Water box exploded

Anything that can allow extra gas to pool in the exhaust can do it. Leaky seat o'rings for sure. Also a badly misfiring ignition, one bad spark plug, engine runs very poor eventually dying out. Owner figures out the spark plugs were shot, gets new ones put in, cranks and cranks not knowing it's...

    SN oem factory build markings

Hey guys, I happen to get in a really nice ORIGINAL ONE OWNER squarenose that needed a little work. I swapped out the stock aluminum impeller and saw these markings under the tray. At the rear mounting holes are 1.1 and 1.4...........turns out that's exactly how thick the shims were back there...

What the..............is he parting them or what? Honestly, the Polaris machines with the blue Fuji triples are easy to work on, don't have many issues, and make real good runners.

That's Ficht injection. They're good when they're good. Generally have EMM issues or stator magnets coming loose. I recently aquired one myself.
