WaterFreak and I went over and saw the guys at Performance Catalog on Thursday. Nice Group of Guys that are starting out in business, have some great ideas to come, and are highly responsive to negotiation on prices. Give the Guys a chance to price you out the parts you need, I know I spent...

    Freestyle project hull

Give it time, and you will never go back to riding with a pole spring again... Not because the pros do it that way, just because it becomes more comfortable as time goes on.

    body weight???

Just get a SN or RN and be done with it... I started out with a 750 SKI, migrated to a SN ported 701, and now have added a RN big bore to the SN. I'm 6'-2 and 275lbs and can get up on a Kawi 550 no problem. The key is to just ride, ride, ride.... :beerchug:

    squish (piston to head)

Sorry, can't help you here, but from memory I think the racers like to keep the squish above .055" for WOT runs... Someone else will chime in that knows better...

    squish (piston to head)

What are you doing with the engine, racing, freestyle or just general riding? 1.64mm works out to be .065" so would be a safe squish to run the engine at.

    bolts: teflon, loctite or nothn....?

Personally, I use grease (anti-seize) on everything except reed/cage screws, inside the electrical box and inside the front stator cover. If it can get wet, then it will corrode eventually if ridden in Saltwater.

The older (more than 3-4 years old) Toshiba's were great, and the early century HP's were even better, but they have both gone to shiat... We buy lot's of laptops for my Company, and Dell outlasts all of them with Today's computers...
