Superjet or Kawi? I ride a kawi 650 and at my heaviest of 230 it had no problem pulling me out of the water. You just need to learn how to ride it.

If you want to make yourself faster....shed some weight lol. Just kidding...to make the ski faster it still depends on what you're riding. If it's a kawi, aftermarket pipes, props, and carbs can be had for pretty cheap. 650 yami is another story. A lot of the same but most will tell you not to invest in the 650 engine and save to upgrade to a 701 because the parts are more available and there's potential to "grow the engine". Just learn to ride and then focus on getting fast.

Just get a SN or RN and be done with it...

I started out with a 750 SKI, migrated to a SN ported 701, and now have added a RN big bore to the SN.

I'm 6'-2 and 275lbs and can get up on a Kawi 550 no problem. The key is to just ride, ride, ride....
