New laptop

Well my old faithful Toshiba died on me last night. I need one for school work I thought I would check out the local best buy. They were trying their hardest to sell me an extra warranty and all kinds of their geek squad services...what a joke! I need need to get into the game after seeing some of the prices they charge for PC work. :lmao:

Anyways ended up with another Toshiba satellite with an Intel i7, 4 gigs of ram, and Nvidia Geforce 310M graphics card. :Banane09:

Good luck, I would have gone with Dell based on my experience with HP and Toshiba...

Not a fan of dell at all....I hit myself in the face with a claw hammer before i would ever own a dell.

I had my last Toshiba since 2003 but the hard drive crapped out. Never had a problem with it. The only time I opened it up was to upgrade the ram. Hope fully this one lasts as long. My only complaint so far is the cheesy keyboard. They could of designed that a little better.

You got a new lappy solely because the hard drive fried out on your old one? Or did you just want a new one?

Yea I love beast buys high prices...they help make my customers appreciate my low prices and super fast turn around times..

I have had my old Toshiba since early 2003 so it was time for an upgrade. I needed a running laptop for school work and I cant wait/do't want to wait to order another hard drive then reinstall all software and reconfigure to my liking.

Yep best buy is quite the rip off If i had another choice I would have went there instead.

The older (more than 3-4 years old) Toshiba's were great, and the early century HP's were even better, but they have both gone to shiat...

We buy lot's of laptops for my Company, and Dell outlasts all of them with Today's computers...

I hate Best Buy. I would have grabbed one off Newegg.com. Probably save yourself a few hundred bucks and wouldn't have had to listen to idiots blasting Hip Hop in the automotive sound section.

Wouldn't buy a Dell if you begged me. Saying there customer service is the the pits. Is a giant compliment. From there regular customer service agents to service mangers and higher they are all undependable and will tell you anything to get you off the phone. Then they never call back like they promise and when you call them back their mail box is always full. Mya be they treat corp. accounts a little better?

I only buy HP at work and have excellent experience with them. I've been buying their Elitebooks for a year or so now and they've all been perfect so far.

With HP, there is a very distinct difference between the 'p' series and the lesser models in terms of performance, build quality, etc. They also cost more but worth it.

I was going to get a Toshiba or Hp. Seem like all of the older computers I work on are dells....hmmmm. Usually it is mostly a problem with windoze so I cant really blame them besides their crappy customer service.
