    Yep, just get a shaft & throttle plate rebuild kit. You will probably have to cut the shafts to get the old plates out because they usually won't slide out due to the beat up edges. Use red loctite on the new plate screws and peen the back sides so they won't back out and trash your engine...

    I kind of do the same thing but I just add the oil to the empty jug and when I get to the pump I put about .5 gallon in and then swish it around before pumping the rest. Probably overcautious but it makes me confident that it is mixed well.

    Running a stiff pole

    SS and the price is right. Simple and effective. Just trim the tube to the proper length to fit the inside of your pole and tighten it down. The only drawback is no spring, but you will not miss it if the pole is tight.
