Flame arrestor will not give you anything more ...just looks cool :-). I am getting in my lightweight flywheel soon ...we'll see if that improves the bottom of my square. I have to admit I was impressed with stabs you were throwing on my ski after only 3 minutes of riding it. Made me jealous...
That FX-1 looks a little corroded on the inside but perhaps just the lighting in the photo. The square someone offered you for $2k is a great starter. I started on a 650 sx moved to a square and loved it. Now mine is cut up and heavily modded and I still can't find anything I personally like...
I would say if you have any motor knowledge and are ready to spend another $500 to get it up and running...its a good deal. If it were me I would offer him $2100 figuring I'd be sinking another $400 or more into a top end. However, he is right...that parts on that ski are very pricey...so he...
I was actually saying 650 kawi vs. 6m6 or 61x yami. From the top they look the same...that is a great picture. I knew there had to be a difference but I didn't look at them profile. My 61x is already sent off to #Zero so I can't look at them now but I know it works on my motor so its...
Alright all...school me. I just pulled my 61x flywheel and sent it off to Chris. I had another flywheel laying on the shelf that I thought was from a 650 motor but looked similar to the 61x setup. I compared and they looked identical. Figuring it was a yami flywheel I had a buddy of mine...
This is what I have been wondering as well. I have about 1/2 second hesitation. Granted I know I have a 760 non ported cylinder but still. Looking for the immediate snap and I have 190 psi compression, msd, b pipe, hooker prop, and 46 mm carb. I will be getting a lightened flywheel shortly...
Well I might be the odd man out here but with $1k in the budget the TL is out. Why not consider a 155pump with the right prop and MSD? I have heard some mixed reviews on Mag pumps from a few of the local guys. However, heard great things about bang for buck moving up to the 155 with the right...
Total loss is pricey but I hear fabulous. One thing you never mentioned was budget. Lightened flywheel and MSD on the cheap will provide you with some nice snap.
I have never experienced this. As long as there was enough water to prime the pump mine have always cleared..even if its just a quick splash of water. How much water was in the bilge Quinc?
My turn to chime in. I have run attwood 500 gph for almost 5 years now and have had no issue. I ran wiring directly to the battery with a fuse on each pump. I run them constantly when I ride with a 3/4 outlet on each and it cleans the engine compartment quickly. Also, I decided to run a one...
