Super Jet Frosty's '98 dismantle and 2010 Freeride Superjet Build

Another question for you Frosty. I just started working on mine last week. I have it all defoamed now. What did you use to seal off the driveshaft and other lines coming through the hull from the engine compartment? And this may be a really stupid question, but what is the line on the left...

Super Jet Frosty's '98 dismantle and 2010 Freeride Superjet Build

Could you give me a suggestion on what to order from US Composites for the materials needed for patching after shortening the hull, reinforcing the bottom section, and putting the tray back together? I know I have some stuff left over from my footholds and reinforcing the engine compartment...

Super Jet Frosty's '98 dismantle and 2010 Freeride Superjet Build

Wow, top notch work bro! Pardon my ignorance, but can I ask you why you use the clamps and cardboard (or whatever that is) on the fiberglass? The only glassing I've ever done was on my foot holds, and I'm about to tackle this project now so just curious.

    Super Jet 771 SuperJet Build

Awesome man, that head is sick! I'm doing a similar build on my SJ. I bought a DASA big bore with 44's and ATP Epic. I'm also installing an Xmetal trim, and planning on cutting 2" off the rear. Hopefully going to get started here in a couple weeks. I look forward to following your...

    Which hull fits better

Done. Now I just need a trim, and to refoam my ski!

    Which hull fits better

That seems to be the consensus. So you just ship them your motor then and they bore it out and what not?

    Which hull fits better

I ride with the OP and am in the same situation. I was leaning towards a superjet based after market hull., but it sounds like it may not be worth the minimal weight savings. Now I'm leaning towards re foaming and cutting. I have a ported 701 with a Bpipe now. What would be the next step motor...

installing footholds for the first time

I just riveted mine in, and then several layers of glass. You definitely want to make sure no water will ever get back there.

    Sinking Superjet

Haha alright this is so stupid... Last weekend when I was out riding I took the hood off, and let it sit in the water to try and see where the water was coming in. Figured it out. I recently took my stock dash off and never covered up the rivet holes so water was pouring in through those. I...

    Sinking Superjet

Yeah the water is coming in when the ski is not running, and it seems to be filling up pretty quickly. It does still have the stock siphon I believe. It doesn't fill up when the ski is running so I'm assuming the stock siphon is working...

    Sinking Superjet

Sweet I will do that, and cross my fingers that is the problem! butti, how do you know if it is cavitating? The ski seams to be running well for the most part, besides occasionally sucking up water. I may go back to the stock airbox...

    Sinking Superjet

What’s up guys. My ski ('01 SJ) has been taking on a ton of water lately when it’s just floating, or pulled halfway up on shore. I spoke with my mechanic on the phone and he said he thinks it’s the drive shaft seal. He said he’d have to pull the motor to replace it, and I’m looking at a day’s...

Porting + Type 4 dry pipe advice

Well so far the dry pipe has been pretty good for me. I've been running it for 2 seasons. So in order to save myself a lot of money, I'd prefer to keep running it. I guess I just want to know if it is worth it for me to port it with this pipe setup....
