is this why im still waiting on my trim also.. i figure that would be a good reason id like to know what they are changing on it.
When did you order yours? I ordered mine in December/January but since I was getting a motor as well we figured shipping it back with the motor would be a smarter Idea lol
guess not, I wasn't overly impressed that I got zero heads up about it tho

i ordered mine through maniac like 2 or 3 weeks, they ended up being on backorder from what he says and it would take a couople weeks which is no big deal. he said he went in there today but i havent heard from him yet so hopefully theyll be done soon. as long as i have it before lsfr im fine. so my ski can get finished up and all..

Xmetal made some changes to the trim ring so that it fits onto the reduction nozzle better without grinding. Also changed the trim ring arm design so that cable throw issues that some have had are resolved.

I just received mine in the mail from you yesterday Jet. So does that mean I have the newer version?

Has anybody installed this yet? My trim cable seems to be about 1" to short, Any advice?

Edit, Had to remove the lock nut on the trim trigger

My home away from home.
It'd be nice if it was just a bolt on set up with out any grinding / swapping etc... I was thinking of picking one up, but want it to be a solid unit and also bolt up smooth.

Carl at Cold Fusion is working on a (sweet) true center pull unit, but it's not finished yet. He has some priority projects ahead of the trim.

Same with #0's trim. His set up is very nice (Orangefinger has one and it's very clean and solid) but is also back on the production priority list. Is what it is and these guys can only do so much in a day.

It's actually not that bad, I spoke with Xmetal yesterday and they think I might have been sent there old set-up by accident, part of the problem is there are two different styles of 62T nozzles one it bolts right up and the other you have to grind a lip off, it also depends on how picky the guy installing it is, for example when I first installed mine i didn't have full throw of the trigger so I took it apart and used the grinder until I did, some guys might not do that

My only complaint was the trim lever they send with the kit. I was using the max throw of the lever and still had clearance on my nozzle. I bougth a set of Mt. Bike levers for $12 and am using them for trim and throttle. I'm now only using about 2/3 throw on the lever and maxed out on trim because it hits my tray. I also didn't like the fact that their lever had a plastic lock nut.

The lever I got is all metal no plastic, and the amount of throw ive got, I'll have to cut the rear bond line flush
