I'll post up some more pics tonight when I get home. It's coming along. I have the rear all finished, and painted. Exhaust and drain plugs installed. Almost done refoaming. What a PITA! I don't see myself doing this project again haha... I ripped out that pump stuffer too. I think I'm...
Haha we'll see about that... I got absolutely nothing done on it this past weekend. I was busy on Saturday, and too hungover to do anything yesterday... Hopefully I can get some stuff done this week.
Some more Minnesota "Flatwater" for you MANFISH. This is why I don't want an ultra short hull. If I did I would get a BOB, but I don't think it would work very well for what we do.
It was on the ski when I bought it. I thought it was just a Worx intake grate. I guess it's a pump stuffer / grate combo? I'm pretty sure it's one piece, but I'd have to check it out when I get home.
What am I supposed to yank out?
Agree to disagree. I guess we'll just have to see how she rides. The good news is I can always take off more if I want, but if I chopped off too much I wouldn't be able to go back. I'm not trying to set up a flat water ski here. Thanks for the comments though.
Half the rear? I'd say it's more like 90%. I got the idea from SJBritt. That is how he did it, and it seemed like the most hassle free way to do it to me. He said it made a huge difference. I'm not sure what you mean about the ride plate mounting. Isn't it going to be mounted in the same...
I picked up a bathroom scale so I could try and weigh this thing. I didn't get a before weight, but currently everything is weighing in at 158 lbs. This is everything except the motor, pump, gas tank, battery, ebox, and exhaust. Does that sound about right?
771cc DASA long block with ATP EPIC ignition and stock lightened flywheel compliments of pabloescobar!
I'll also be installing an Xmetal trim with an 85 mm bored Raider exit nozzle from #zero. Hopefully my 9/15 Hooker works nicely with this setup!
In addtion to the hull mods I'm also going to be installing a 771cc Dasa and an Xmetal trim.
I'll start with some pictures from the paint job last year...
And now on to the defoam and shortening. Lots of wet foam! I cut 2" off and avoided the ride plate...
