Well... She wants to pick up a new 3 seater. I don't know squat about 3 seaters these days. I figure, if we're spending that much on a new boat, I would like to know from some people that have had some experience with the newer boats. Like the first question would be which one is the fastest, then stuff like maintenance issues, handling etc... It's going to be doing a lot of different stuff. Towing tubes and kids, an occasional drag race, some rough lake water, rescuing the RN when it gives me grief, and some cruising too. I know this is a standup site, but I respect your opinions.

for all around comfort and cruising a 15F is they way to go. excellent rough water hull not a pig on gas and is reliable.

for speed the yamaha FZS or the seadoo RXT-X...... for rough water speed the kawasaki ultra 260X.

i've ridden them all and an probably give the most accurate assesment out of anyone on this site

Buddy just got a fzs........its a beast. i have a 04 fx140. it gets the job done for cruising, wakeboarding, and everything non standup related. it only gets used when i wakeskate off it, if my girl wants to go out, or if the superjet is not worknig.

Get a Yamaha or a Kawi. If they make good stand ups then thier couches will be good too. Stay away from the other brands. (just my opinion but when it s time for me to buy a couch for wife/kids, I wouldn't support any company that doesn't make a stand up)

I also plan to pick up a 15F sometime in the next year for my wife. We have a 02 STXR she rides now but I think it's about time for upgrade.

its NUTS in the turns, you drop the trim and turn and it just hooks.... if your goin fast and just turn with the trim down playin around.....see ya. it feels like a street bike, or closest thing to it....

you physically can not spin it out unless you trim all the way up and lean.

its stable.......to a point. it handles chop really really good but ive hit rollers from a big boat from the side and it threw my girl and i off and like 55......sucked. but this is in Havasu on a big weekend.

i think the 3 seater would be more suited for really haulin in chop......

the thing a plain rocket though. ill ride my stand up all day, than once dusk comes, hop on the x and hit glass turns thru coves.....pretty fun.

but all in all it is what it is....a couch.....after about a half hour....over it.lol

there actually my dads. he leaves them in Havasu. but hes talkin about takin them to the beach.....so maybe!:Banane35:
