No...there's the one of yours in my garage, and the one still in your garage.
I do not repitch the roof angles. The stock Yamaha port angle config seems to be great for low end. I confess, I don't know enough about it to mess with it.
On my current personal cylinder, I did make the transfer port windows themselves quite a bit wider.
In fact, my personal cylinder is ported way beyond what the Sport Port does. I have ported my cases, as well.
Nice setup. Hits great.
I have seen the dropped boost ports a few times, but have not done that yet. I understand that it promotes cooling of the piston from below (this is in conjunction with boost ports in the piston skirt).
I did some research on this and found nothing conclusive for performance gains here - I think it's done mostly for reliability, added lubrication and cooling.
isnt kawi specific porting different than yamis? I was under the impression you cant port them the same?!
I will let you know pretty soon what it has or has not effected. I will take some pics of cylender and piston and send them to you before assemble. Let me know what ya think.
I know of one to try.....But it sounds like your'e pretty busy this winter already Matthas any one tryed the sport port on a 750 kawi motor , i just orderd a set off templates to do mine so am kinda curious if any one else has tryed one on a 750
I just got the new sport port myself. Im pretty new to stand up jetskiing and ive got a 96 sj. I was wondering how to go about porting my cases. Ive got the sport port coming for the cylinders so im not too worried about those but im not sure how to go about porting the cases. Ive got the 61x cases still and 61x cylinders. Any one know how to go about porting the cases? Also whats the best carbs to use on a budget. Ive still got the stock 38's on there with ocean pro arrestors. B-pipe and a riva head with 35cc domes. I plan on getting an MSD enhancer v-force 2's and 12/17 skat. Am i going in the right direction?
