whats the absolute best carb,intake steup?

im not too familiar w the latest mods and im looking to get the absolute best carb/intake and reed setup i can buy for freestyle -what would u reccommend? mikuni 44's? sbn44s?\ 48s?
id also like the best recommended girdeled head and what size domes

I would hit up jetworks.net. Give them a call and talk to Art. He is the man. I would almost bet he will steer you to dual modded 38's.

So 46's are not to much carb for that? Curious because I have to either rebuild or upgrade soon but I was thinking 44's at most for a very similar set up as above.

It's all in the recipe...yes they can act too big when not setup like I do them...

Yes, 44's will work on the Boyesen intake system, use retail 44mm Mikuni carbs, not OEM stock 760 Yamaha carbs.

i was very impressed with arts modded 38's on a ski with the same mods but like supertune said its nice to have room to grow

49mm Full Specturms on the Boyesen Intake with Rad valves. I'm running them on a very similar setup and the results are very good.

Ada head. Dome size/squish will depend on your porting.

i was hoping for $400-600 for something used and prob a few hundred more for brand new- really wanted to get a good girdeled head also(does a girdeled head make alot of diff from a milled head?

You have plenty of possibilities with that much to spend.

You don't need a girdled head with a B pipe and 190psi IMO. Prop and carbs IMO.

a boat in our group is running a set of 48 full specs on a wore slap out rattling ass 701 and runs very well. these same carbs used to be on gils 5 mil stroker. must be the total loss
