set the 38s up right and they work very well with v force reeds, very reliable decent fuel economey and with wamiltons air box keeps water ingestion to a very minimal amount this my own setup on my big bore with bolt ons

How can dual 49's be a good setup for a limited 701!? That sounds impossible.

It would seem to large a carb for that setup but Scottie has some 48s on his sport spec setup.basically a limited and it ripped harder than any other similar motor with no porting. It may be overkill and might not use all the 48s have to offer but Im getting the feeling any good 46 mill and above carb on a good intake with good reeds tuned right, can really take a lim setup to the next level of power that you otherwise will never get to. the only drawback for freeride is they are thirsty. Id like to try out a good set of arts moded 38s,if they flowed better and made more power without to much extra fuel being used Id run that on my lim setup.I can get close to 2.5 hours on my 38s in surf. the stroker on 48s is 1.5 tops.thats a big deal with our ride area being 20 min slow wake back to fuel up

tuned right will get just about any carb performing well.

true but a perfect tuned 38 and a perfect tuned 48 are gonna be different in power delivery, flow is flow.thats like saying a t61 turbo is the same as gt47r on the same motor tuned correct

I forgot!
i run dual 48mm on a ported 735cc motor @ 190psi, and TL. they are run with delta 1 v-force reeds. Setup works great, but i am thinking of upgrading to the Boysen RAD system. the Deta 1's are getting old and the reeds are becoming harder to find so an upgrade makes sence.
