What should my next mod be?

So far I have:
61x/61x bored .5 mm over, freestyle ported
Ada girdled head with 35 cc domes
Carbon tech reeds
Single 44mm carb
Lightened flywheel
B pipe limited setup with mani and headpipe ported to 49mm.
Cdi with adjustable Rev limiter at approx 7800 rpm

Pump: stock 144 with 9/15 hooker,worx201 stubby cone, and nozzle bored to 84mm.
Currently all in a stock sj hull but will be in a sub 80lb short hull soon.

So far I am very happy with the power delivery all over and I find the hookup to be very good too. That being said, there's always off season mods to save up for..

For power comparison, my ported 701 with a single carb and 61x cases puts out more power everywhere than a stock 61x cylinder 62t cased dual carb setups with all the same mods.

Im planning on spending a max of 500$.

Ive heard good things about solas mags, but I honestly am very satisfied with the power to water delivery of my ski even with a stock intake.. In an am hull with a larger intake is it still that much of an increase?

I have noticed the 62t cases and dual carbs having a little different of a power delivery that I liked compared to my non ported 61x setup I was running last season. I feel like there would be a lot to gain going to dual carbs and different cases.
Talking to my builder, he said he'd suggest 64x dual pulse cases and dual 44s.

Also contemplated switching to 62t electronics if I find a deal and grab an atp hx3. I know I would use that on multiple engine setups in the future which makes it more appealing.

Anybody have experience with either of these three and can steer me in the right way on what to start saving for? I feel like the ignition is where I could see good benefits and it would be a purchase thst would work great as I upgrade engines over the years. Don't plan on going to TL for a few years.

I ran a EPIC and switch too flame both old versions, the flame is alot snappier the magnitic drag on the flywheel is non and flywheel weight is a 1/3 off stock weight. The more powerfull spark makes starts a breez it just fires striaght up, also you Can run a litthel rich too make sure off not too damage engine.

You are at the point where getting more requires all the goodies and higher ports. A 760 bottom end will make the pipe hit sooner and harder, but not all that much. A T/L will make the throttle very crisp. Doing both will make a nice improvement but it won't go any faster without raising the ports.

Get a damn intake grate. I rode my Evo with a JD grate and it slide every where like uncontrollably then I switched to a RRP grate meant for he widened intake duct and man was it a world of a difference

solas mag helps hookup big time. The straighter the water coming out the better the thrust. Solas mag with a nozzle with fins is the way to go.

you could also get a R&D intake and run dual carbs, 62t bottom end wont change much, the twin carbs are whats really shining through. Ive been hoarding 44's till i find a good priced R&D.

62t intake tract/case flow is much different than 61x tho isn't it?

both curve the airflow into the cases, the reed position is almost identical and the 61x reeds will handle well over 800cc's. once past the reeds the crank screws the flow up big time, so how perfect it comes down the intake track is a minimal variable at best. 62t is the preffered twin carb option because you dont have to make a twin carb intake, they come with it. For a race ski, 62t is perfect as its the simplest dual carb case, for lower rpm applications like freestyle/freeride a 61x is right on point with a 62t. Side to side a twin carb 61x vs a 62t with the same carbs and the same mods, you wont feel a difference between the cases.if you dont believe me, read the countless write-ups on the lack of difference. GroupK gives a great one.

I have never understood the 62T boner, with cases or electronics, but i will sell the heck out of those parts and profit the $$$ if they cross my table for cheap.

I have a similar setup, and before i got hurt, i was itching for a hull or a mag pump.
