I just replace my spark pug boots because my old ones sucked. the new ones are just as bad. What are the best plug boots?
what are solid top plugs?
I've only been using barnical encrusted plugs.
The standard "screw in" style NGK plug boots have build in resistor so unless you run a controller.... :thumbsdown:i use ngk plug caps

I have been running the MSD caps and poly locks for over a year now with good results. I wouldn't run the MSD caps without the locks!
Picture below shows the non traditional way to crimp the wire. Typically you fold the wire back over the rubber then crimp. For a car or carbon wire this is fine but for a S/S coil wire, you want to crimp it like I did.
solid tops dont unscrew the little silver thing that the boot clamps on to.
and I can NEVER find them locally.
if you take the regulars and pinch the top with a set of pliers they wont unscrew :wiggle:
Yeah but do they still get the ski started quickly if you have sucked water.
....ducking and running.
msd connectors and boots here with zero problems!!!!
thanks for the replys guys. I never had this problem until I started using my new motor. I guess it vibrates to much. it feels great until the first crash or big jump then it's hardly worth riding. I can't wait to try out my new msd caps (after Ollie drops them off)

idok, i found something even better than 7's for water-ingestion restarting.
it's a technique i used to use at the mx track for my old, slow 2stroke mx bike...
instead of just the regular "pull out old plug, blow off, spray with ether, try again" method, it's now "pull out old plug, blow off, spray with ether, put a lighter to it for 5-10 seconds, try again"
and i'm serious too! hahaha
