nice to see this coming along. I've always wondered what that motor would run like with a b-pipe. Good work.
This is gonna be ********ing sick when its done.
Did you use prebent stainless tubing and then cut and modify to fit ?the exhaust manifold is made but needs a water jacket still. working out a template for the sheetmetal waterjacket is tough!. found out the bed plate is in the way of the stock carbs so that went back on the mill today.
good news is the motor with complete exhaust (minus waterjacket on manifold) bolted bolted in and fits.:Banane57:
manifold bolted up.

the pipe is 2" ID which = the 50mm exhaust port and my ported head pipe.what diameter !
Great project! I'm not trying to thread jack, this should probably be a very short answer. Why does the exhaust even need water jackets? Is it because there is no air passing by it like in other engine applications to cool it down?
yep, I posted a pic of me mocking it up.You're going to build a water jacket box around that exhaust manifold, right?
I am using aluminum foil to work out the pattern. I bought stainless sheet for the final. It looks like you're using aluminum foil? :scratchchin:
There's a sheet of .060" wall stainless at the shop that would work better.
That thin wall stainless tube will glow cherry red if it's not cooled by water.
