I thought by trailer, you ment a ski dolly. Something like you linked is that I thought of using as a dolly. That thing you linked cannot be pulled behind a car.
This is what I was thinking when I mentioned that lawn car item I talked about. Harbor Freight sells a hitch rack for pretty cheap. I was going to mount some skids on it. Then I was going to get that kart and make a dolly for it. I was going to use the dolly, line it up and slide the ski onto the hitch rack. My truck sits low so I can back the rack into the lake no problem. No good for salt, but if you kept the trailer in the back yard, you could store the ski in the garage on the dolly for minimal space.
I figured that's what you had in mind. It would save space. They do have galvinized hitch racks for stand up you could get if you wanted to apply the same concept to the salt water. You'd have to have a low truck like my blazer so that you can back it into the water without putting the car in too deep.
