The paralysis developed gradually during the second and third postoperative weeks. Six weeks following the complete removal of the cement, the facial nerve recovered completely. We need to do something to help Mark out if we can,I know times are tough everywhere so here are my thoughts,how about if we put up a sale thread and set up a paypal account for him,if you have some parts that you are using for doorstops,paperweights etc that someone else could possibly use donate the part to the thread,your contribution would be the part and handling the shipping.Someone would have to be in charge of the paypal account and letting the persons involved know when the items have been paid for so they can be shipped,thats my idea if its good bad or otherwise LMK.Of course common sense would have to be used here,I would not expect anyone to ship anything out of the country.

HEY EVERYONE!! i have my connection back!! with justin's phone calls the other day it made me relize that i really needed to get back on here..so i worked some magic and made it happen...after reading this thread..and the other thread that justin set up i want to say thank you i am absolutly truly grateful, and blessed to have so many friends all across the country...people i've only met a few times or even just once in my life.....i love you guys..

now i have a few deals i need to get straight...penguin..i understand your fuel lines have been taken care of..thanks justin and i believe terry...matt your parts have been boxed up and were shipped out this morning and on thier way to you...i am truly sorry for the delay...pimpchevy(chris) i believe..i will send you back the $10 +paypal fees for that gas tank strap..i thought for positive i had a few different ones in the shed but i must have left that box of parts in michigan ..i apolagize....will i'll take care of you as soon as i can work full days so i can get some $$ going again...

as far as what happened to me..

just a few days before my 25th b-day i was laying a new subfloor in my bathroom (using dap to hold it down) it was in michigan and it was feb. i started getting stoned..relized i needed to open a window..it was already too late so i went to go outside for some freash air and i colapsed in the snow and stroked out causeing permanent nerve damage to my face as well as my right eye..
my face used to droop severely on my right side and to this day i still have no feeling on that side of my face, i drool on myself, dribble when i drink, cant whistle, cant really use a straw.. whenever i eat i cry uncontrolablly..and my vision in my right eye has progressivly gone down hill..i have learned how to deal with it and it really wasnt affecting everyday life any more...

now working outside here in florida i was just going and going trying not to let the heat effect me and i had a heat stroke due to not wanting to submit to my body's limitations, and not keeping myself hydrated enough..my face has relapsed and the years of work trying to stimulate the nerves in my face to get them to react as much as possible so i didnt look all goofy and didnt always have people asking me whats rong with me has to start all over again..it's ot as bad as it was the first time around but i still kinda pisses me off and has definataly lowered my morale...i could take drugs to help speed up the process but those of you that know me real well..know i try really hard to not introduce any kind of drugs or medication into my system (other than nicotene and alchohol) and prefer to use alternative healing methods..and natural recovery..i dont even take pain medication.

thank you guys for everything ..i'll be just fine..i'm too stubborn not to be..with everything life has dealt me..i will not let any of it keep me down..it may knock me down but i'll always get right back up! there is nothing myself or anyone else can't do or acomplish if they have the right attitude.

yeah dude, its good to hear your doing better and making the best of it, I have a cuz who has cancer and lost all controll of the right side of her body, she still hasn't giving up, now she's gonna swim in the paraolimpics, I keep her in the highest respect and now you are right up with her, ill be praying for both of you:)

Glad to see you back on Mark ,I had asked Justin several times where you were at as I had not seen you on in a long ,long time.I was totally shocked when he made that post,glad you are doing better man.
