just an update- the front fill and sponsons work awesome. Vumads boat has been having issues of late but Wavedemon, vumad, and myself have ridden the ski in various surf and flat and it works killer. the front fill will be ready soon.

tubbies

Do you still have the tubbies for the x2. Are they pre-cut for a stock exhaust outlet? How much? How soon Can I have them? Can I screw them on, or do I have to do body work?

Thanks Man,
Jordan

he is laying up some now and they do not come pre cut for the outlet. they can be scewed on but i would recommend at least a sealing layer of epoxy and cloth/mat behind them for sealing and adhearing to the hull. i used pop rivets and glassed them on.

what he said, I am a little swamped right now. I should be able to make them this week or next for sure, I have a few sets of everything to do already. bes thing to do is send me your name, shipping address and what you want so I can put it on the list, make it, send it and give you my paypal account to send money to.

thats the best way- for me.

Thanks,
Tom

I believe I want a set of these. Won't be ready till fall/winter, so plenty of time. Since Mad is experienced, maybe he could help w/ the install. I hate bodywork.

The day my engine melted down, the X2 had rippin power. We had bouys out and the X2 was on rails. It handles nothing like it used to. It cuts the waves and rides smooth. It doesn't fall over like stock and my boat was in the upper 40's. Leg dragging it carved on a dime, and stomped the blasters in the corners. I've been very happy and impressed by the way the X2 handles. The only complaint about the nose mod I've heard is that it's too much work, and so far I think it was worth it.

The nose doesn't ride too high either. I can get the weight forward and turn sub with ease, or get the weight back and the nose stays up and corners hard.

Hopefully someone can help me out with some info. Im going to route the exhaust through the sponsons using the factory hole. I built a metal extension to go through the sponson. Will epoxy resin withstand the heat if I use that to attach it or should I take it to have it welded up.

Most likely I will run the stock outlet on the sponson unless I find some thing else I like. Though I did think about just running a little bit of the pipe out and sealing around it.

For the Aussies!!!!- I have had a few requests and when I checked my normal ups and fedex the rates are stupid at 300 bucks, I threw up a post and everyone said USPS- so I just checked it out. I am not sure on the exact weight on my boxes but I know its around 7-14 lbs. so its looking like 14lbs is 92.25 10lbs is 70.65 and 7 lbs is 56.20. so if I can get the weight down and the box doesn't get beat up you might just get some Sponsons down under at a decent price on shipping.

I have a Fed ex account and have gotten a little bit better prices on shipping, I don't try and make money off of shipping and I make my own boxes so I can keep the size as small as possible to keep the cost down. just so you all know how and why things have that "special ed" turf wrapped on the ends and the box is homemade- its for you guys! I want my parts to make it in one piece but not at the expense of 20 dollars in boxing and filler and needless shipping cost cause I was lazy and used a standard box.

by the way- if you guys have a better way or know where there is a standard box sold for cheap or anything else- I'm am always open to suggestions.

ok you x2 nerds, this is my second time doing tubbies on a x2, the first time the only ones that were avaiable were from blowsion, i dont even want to post what i paid but it was a lot, and they did not fit to good not blowsions fault they were for a superjet, so today i installed tom 21 s tubbies on my x2 and they fit like a glove easier to install, they are contoured for the shape of the x2 hull and are larger than the blowsions , thanks tom, i come from a standup background , i hate riding a x2 without tubbies, a must do mod for the x2
