Sparkplugg wire ???

I recently bought some expensive MOROSO Blue Max sparkplugg wires for my FX-1. Mine were seperating inside the insulation!!

I plan on just cutting back the stock wires close to the coil and connecting these MOROSO BLUE MAX wires.

Anyone have any recomendations on how to connect the stock wires to my new ones???

Anyone do this repair with good/bad results?????

You cant splice spark plug wires - you have to grind the old wires out of the black box they go into

Last summer I spliced some crappy $15 Napa automotive wires and they worked for half the season with no problems. (besides corrosion on the sparkpluggs)

I would like the jetskisolutions thing but I dont have the $$$$ for that??

Nobody has spliced their wires?????

why not take an extra hour or so and do it the right way?

Just dig out the old wires from the coil and insert the new wires. Then fill with epoxy let it set then put heat shrink around the ends to tidy it all up.

I would prefer to pull the all of the old/stock wires out if possible!!!

Is it as easy as pulling the old wire out of the coil and just jamming in the new wire???

What is a good indication that you made contact with the correct parts of the coil and new wire??

You cant really just pull it out its glued it- dremel does the trick or a small hole saw bit w/o the middle- theres a metal pin that comes out of the coil that the wire goes on to

Diggler, we seem to be doing all the same projects!
I just dug the old wires out of my old coil and it was a pain and a half. They go in close to 2" deep on mine. I decided to buy another coil instead of gambling my time and money on attaching new wires. You can get used ones complete in the $40 range.

The pin is more of a spike. You impale the wire, then epoxy it in place.

From a 701 Superjet. The thing is the spikes are in there real deep, and they are really tight. I don't know how you could jam them in there and be sure they made good contact.

Does anyone know of a way to make sure to impale the wire onto the spike proper??

Who has done this themself and it worked out good??

why not take an extra hour or so and do it the right way?

The right way would be to just purchase the Kawasaki coil.

Those wires are attached directly to the coil windings and filled with electrical potting compound inside the case.

It very hard to splice using the same gauge wire without having a voltage leak.

Splice away.

Don't expect it to last.
There's a good reason people are telling you it won't work.
Instead of spending $90 on fancy wire, you should have bought a coil for $79.
Any way to return the wire?

It will still leak voltage; they don't put 8mm of pure silicone around the wire just for looks.

Jet-ski solutions digs the wire out with special tools then epoxy a solid wire down inside the coil before the new wires are attached inside the coil case.

If you do something similar it might work but I've heard of quite a few failures from this procedure.
