Im not even asking any more questions! I already did it on one ski and going to give a try this summer! My other ski I am buying a new coil for!

yeah sure why not...whats the worst that could happen...

OH YEAH he would be out jumping a wave and hit the rev limiter, the carb will pop and extra gas fumes will fill up the engine compartment...and at the same time the wire will arc across the head and the engine compartment will flash fire which in turn will blow the hood off his ski right into the handle pole which coincidentaly is right under his face, the kinetic energy's from the explosion will drive the hood and handle pole up into his face and break his jaw and probably a few teeth...might even bite his tongue off...

I WANT TO DO THAT!! thats what i call living on the edge!!

there is such a tiny amount of current it isnt an issue.

splice it, and tape it up good, maybe even use some wireloom over it.

Ive done it, and it works just fine.

it only "leaks" voltage if it has a path to ground, in other words, it will only 'leak' if you leave the center conuctor un-insulated, and its near a ground ( engine bolt)

splice it, electrical tape it, and go ride, it isnt a big deal.

hey vitaly i never said i was against it...just giving him the heads up...maybe he should start to stock up on gerber food for his girlfriend to feed him. sometimes the best way to learn is by trial and error :D

so back on a serious note...(if there ever was such a thing :D)
its all about peace of mind...if you think your tape job is going to hold up then by all means go ahead and do it.

me personally...i like the peace of mind knowing my ski isnt going to die/short-out on me in the middle of the lake or worse...blow up(slight chance but hey...murphy sticks his ugly little head out at the worst moments)
