I thought I would share some pics of my new hull from the waterdawg. I recieved it about a month ago and have been working some stuff out. I gotta say that the quality of the layup is Jeffs best work for me to date. Every time I had to drill a hole to install something the thickness was always the same, very nice. I liked my ENVY but knew that if I was ever gonna try to compete Id need something lighter. The ROK is perfect for me because its pretty much a "mini" envy. I weighed the hull before I started building and it was 78lbs(standard fiberglass layup) minus the hood, from the feel of it id say the hood weighs at least 10lbs. My drivetrain all stayed the same: wdk 1200 engine(ive had this motor going on 3 years next spring and its still doing great, same pistons and crank),skat 145 magnum setback pump,msd total loss, and full spectrum 49mm carbs( thanks ED). I had to get a new driveshaft due to the hull being more compact and the motor being moved back. The new shaft was 3inchs shorter on each side of the bulkhead. So the motor is back 3inches and the pump is forward 3inches. Ive ridden it a little bit, me and superramjet were doing some pretty big windwave backflips. I just got the pole lengthend out(way to short), so now it more comfortable and not all my weights on the nose. So far so good, rides super nice, im not sure why but it think I gained some serious mph, haha, but thats not what I built it for. Ill put some video up soon, I plan on riding today maybe tomorrow. Thanks for the nice comments everyone! I rode it a lot today, about 12 gallons of fuel. Its running soooo good, looks like Ed's carb tricks worked. I was having trouble with fuel dumping in the rear carb at about 2500rpm's, Ed said to put another flap on the jet cover and use a little bigger fuel line return jet. I did that and went back to castor 927 and BRAP!!! ha ha I was able to get one big boat wake backflip and about 4 flatwater ones. Im a little rusty its been awhile since Ive ridden flat water hardcore. Chad got some helmet cam video, hes gonna put it on youtube, then Ill snag it and put it in the flatwater freestyle part. If not ill get some good video this week. Power house, the engine ran me almost exactly $8,000 which included all machining to cases, exhaust manifold and chamber, motor install braket kit. Its on the heavier side, but man it a reliable strong motor. I want to freshin it up this winter, bore it out and new pistons, and jeff says he has a 6lb lighter billet crank for it. Ive always used pump gas 91 octane, nice. later

Great build Luke, hope we get to ride together so I can see it first hand! How do you like the handling of the ROK hull, does it still turn like your old one or is it completly different?

Drive shafts out of a 96 Kawi ZXI, but I had to modify it a little of course. The area where the bearing and seals ride needed to be filled in and machined down. Its a long story sorta, if you need help let me know powerhouse. I got freaking hydroturf glue all over the floor, so its not that clean, 35 bucks at home depot for another can of garage floor paint i guess, ha ha. i wish a 96 superjet gas tank would fit, but nope. maybe with a smaller motor and a b pipe.... Hi Tony, today I got a good feel for it, I really like it. It actually handles better than the envy I think, maybe something about moving the motor back and pump forward, idk. It goes where I want it to go and doesnt throw me off at high speed, its all good! Ya, we need to come and hang out again, or maybe u guys could come here this time, maybe ride some big wind waves!!! later
