i agree with wydopen on the point that with a stiff pole you canNOT waveride with the fluidity that you will with a loose or sprung pole..


the stiffy definatly helps as a point of leverage for tricking, but it was born n bred as a flatwater mod.......

Hate a pole that's too stiff. It shouldn't be "work" to move it. It should move with you.

i like my pole just tight enough to hold itself up.

I agree and if you run a carbon pole then the pole is even looser because less pinch force to hold up the lighter weight.

Sat was cold as heck!!! I only lasted about 30 mins at hugo. Couldn't feel my hands or feet. But now have my new used hull ready to build!
