Secret Spot 2-11-11, WAY TO COLD

as long as it inst stiff as in hard to move up and down like allot of the sheeple seem to run....

it may be my opinion but its also a fact as ive yet to see anyone ride a wave correctly with a handlepole that requires considerable effort to move up and down...when doing moves off the lip where u end up in the whitewater after your turn you are moving your handlepole the entire time, when you initiate nearly every move on a wave your handlepole should be on the hood and when you are recovering from most moves it should also be on the hood..or if you dont believe me in the words of Joe Kenney.."if your pole is still you are going to ride stiff" and when you ride stiff you look like a kook...and thats that haha :icon16:

the best part of a standup is the fact that you can change your center of gravity so easily by lowering the pole, thus lowering your center of gravity...i dont understand why people aka sheeple would eliminate the main advantage of riding a ski with a handlepole?..i guess doing no handers is better than actually being able to turn properly on a wave or even flatwater...u might as well ride a blaster

thats just your opinion, you can't because it doesn't use a pole bracket like a sj.. when you get a chance look at aircraftsalz build thread or any of the close up superfreak pics and you will see why

i looked at the pics..looks like u could still run one if one side of the bracket was threaded...just drill a hole for the spring get a threaded plate and your good to go??

Semi tite with the pad and riser bars is awsome for wave riding, doesn't hurt my back but I can leave it on the hood and rip waves all day, thanks Zach for the inspiration. One drawback for some who ride my ski is they can't reach the bars when reboarding, pad is attached to the pole and goes up with it so no interference with the hood strap. (im a bit taller than Andrew)

Chad is going to try to run a pole spring by bolting the bracket plates to the pole first then bolt the plates to the ski.

Wydopen , you have some crankin avatars ! would like to get some feed back from you with your waterman back ground . Hope to see you in Pismo .

yea i have trouble reboarding with risers as well..the other thing i dont like is the fact that when your pole is on the hood your body is two inches higher (or however high the rise is) than it would be with normal bars, your center of gravity is lowered from your body weight not the weight of the pole, i just dont really see what the advantage is..one thing would be to run them flat so you could run a shorter pole and still have the bars in the same place...lower the better imo

i just took a couple inches off my pole..gonna test it this weekend..

The demo superfreak has a 760 in it. I'm sure you will love how the hull rides and you can set up the pole however you want after you buy it. LOL.

PS. I happen to agree with you on the riser bar opinion.

I think at Pismo in Oct we will have atleast 3 SF's from FL. 760-781cc Jetmaniac / blue motors, 850cc PV motor.

Not sure if me/Lucas will bring FW ski's , depends who drives out there .

Yea hear that, I just need them up high as possible to keep from farkin up my low back, and the stock Blaster bars have a bit of rake that really help with my broken wrist (ergonomics). Its possible I like this a bit since I rode an x2 for about a year, seems to be the best of both for me IMO, ride upright or slam it down and surf.

Id imagine when you are 50+ years old performance takes a back seat to comfort As long as it is comfortable for you..thats all that matters

You should have rode, Josh!
It was pretty brutal on the first run.
The second burn, the wind layed down, and it cleaned up a little. Clean up sets were 2 foot overhead in the trough.
Third burn we expected it to get better, but it got smaller...clean enough, but not better.

Fun ride.

Morning was too cold for me, I had lunch with my Pops at noon so it didn't workout time wise... Next time I'm there!
