Is it worth it to do the roundnose conversion on a square, or just start with a round right off the bat? Has anyone done the conversion.

If you going to go threw that much work.. I would say just go for the watercraft factory hull.. I love that Damn hull more than anything.... Make sure you get the SURF/Pancake Model though... especially for your riding is like mine  . It is just a hull and you need to get all the stuff to put in it... It is well worth it though ! I am hesitant to egg you because I would hate to see you get rid of that awesome X2 ! Shout me if you want to talk.. I think you got to rip mine 2 sundays ago right ? Or you did not ride it much ?

It's gonna cost more probably to do a build up from a bare hull. Parts and such are gonna nickel and dime ya to death. But if you have a complete square your working from it shouldnt be bad.

I just made the same switch. Still have my SXR, but I ended up with roundie instead of a square. Go for the roundie, more parts are available, and it is a damn good looking ski.

I am able to do so much more on my practically bone stock round nose compared to my SXR. I would say the best way to describe the difference to me is that I feel less afraid to do go big and try new tricks on my SJ for some reason. The ski feels less intimidating. maybe its just b/c it weighs 60 less pounds :dunno:

Looks like everybody favors the round. I dont know if I want to part with the X-2 so I may gust have to wait acouple of months befor I get a new toy. Unless someone has a roundnose for sale without and engine...
