The Best Ambassador

Sorry I am a little late but I just have to say, Ross Champion is much more than the 2008 IFWA world champion.
Born to be one on his family name alone, it would take years of hard work and training to achieve the top Freerider of the world spot. He deserves the title this year and much more. At about 5'9" hes a giant of a person and deserves all the congrates you guys have given him

But Ross is a champion simply in his behavior and humble character. As I witnessed, he almost felt just a tiny bit bad for winning in a field of friends with such talent. Thats not to say hes not happy! I am sure he is elated.

Ross is the ultimate ambassador for the sport as his passion is infectious and is only exceeded by his compassion to others interested in it.

I witnessesed the Ross most of you all know at his best. Taking time to talk to spectators, appeasing fans with stickers and hats, sharing stratagies with other riders, Sharing his competition ski with several pilots that had mechanical issues(potentially halting his success at any moment) He had been there years earlier, just a kid watching others or a new guy on the water. He has never forgotten that and he did his best to shake every single hand that asked for it.

When he took the podium, he dedicated a moment to Zack.

It makes me proud that he represents our sport and more importantly our country in the way he does. He has stepped into some big shoes but he wears them well!
Is it a coincidence that Ross's family name is Champion? I don't think so!
Best wishes Ross and Good luck always!
