4WD and I've had it back in the dunes air'd down. I never even considered airing down the trailer.

It's the trailer that's throwing me for a loop here as I've had the rig is much stickier situations.

Not as rare as you would think. Here's an article I wrote for a annual event out in CO.

And yes, the V10TDI is a beast but has been pulled from the US market and replaced with a V6TDI.

You will be fine. I assume your trailer is an 8X20 or something close? you arnt going to be driving in the "dunes" with the trailer. We all camp on the front side of the dunes.

I know where everybody camps and I can't count how many motorhomes & trucks (with or without trailers) I've seen burried. I especially like the ones who get stuck 30' from the Oceano entrance ;).

Eitherway, I'm not to worried about it anymore (after chatting with you guys). I'll have my tow strap, hitch D ring and shackles with me. If I get stuck, I'll get unstuck.

Oh, and I wish I had access to an 8x20. I'm coming up with a 6x12 with a home built rack to stack the X2's.

Which reminds me: If there is anybody coming up from SD we can prob fit 2 more skis in the trailer and I've got room for 2 more people if anybody wants to carpool.

Figured I'd throw the offer out there.

Cracker: Check for ski xport in mail today..post up if fails to arrive! ;)

If any West Coasters think they may want a rental home directly on the beach, let me know…personally considering letting one go for a “cottage house” (that cracks me up still, lol)! Still haven’t decided…difficult when unfamiliar with the area…so sorry if I offer up something premature…I am a chick afterall…simply looking for the best view first time out).
