so the deal is i had a last minute week vaction to pismo and didnt have time to install a limiting rope i had from fast elements so i figured i'd install it on the beach.... forgot my drill and look what happend~!

yeah me 2! i woulda rather had the pole break i have a friend to has a few laying around... or upgrade.. now i got some stinkin fiberglass work to do so i can finish the season

been there done that, but my bracket let go first so little to no hull damage.

I hate those stock little retainer nut plates, not nearly enough surface area to spread the load. I made a back-up plate about the size of my pole bracket and drilled holes to match, then nut and bolt the bracket on. Spreads out the load of the pole bracket.

Limiting rope is a must in surf j shattered a bracket on my square nose in surf last time I rode in it..... I FINANLLY LEARNED.

I did the same thing to my first RN jumping boat wakes with no footholds or limiting rope on flatwater.

Reglass and reinforce with backup plate of aluminum.

Yeah that sucks but definitely reinforce and run a plate (as you know)

Yes I was trying to sell it for a few days cause I found a cheap used bob... but or course it failed... anywase im fixing it now, ill post a few pictures on how im doing it if anyone is interested..
