For free video editing try VirtualDub:

It's crude and rude but hacks out the bad parts. It does work with the strange format video files this cam makes. They look like AVI on the outside but the inside is different. Some professional packages don't chew on this cam's files.

I broke mine

I broke my camera. This is what I did so no one else makes the same mistake

On the bottom there is the little black lip near the front that looks to be held in with two of the triangle headed screws. This little lip has two rectangle shaped holes that look to be the size of a small zip tie. Well I was out in the garage trying to think of a security leash that I could slap on the camera so that I wouldn't loose it off my helmet in case the clip/mounting hardware were to fail. I saw those two little holes at the bottom and thought "maybe you can string a zip tie in one and it will pop out the other?" Well I was wrong. When I pushed the zip tie into the larger of the two holes I heard the sound of air decompressing out of the camera. Sounded like opening a mini bottle of soda. Seems like I poked some kind of hole in the camera which let water in on my next ride. The camera didn't even save my last video b/c it lost power. It would have been a good one too

We were out in decent size surf (5-7) and my battery died. I got tossed in about 3-4 waves but I never let go of the ski. Finally my buddy came to my rescue with a tow rope and got me out of there. I still had enough voltage to run the bilge, but my engine was full of water anyhow. Needless to say you would have seen crazy video of me getting tosed around feeling like I was going to drown.

lol..that sux man...glad you survived the tow...been there, done that and sometimes VERY scary!

yeah it was pretty scary. Made me realize even more than I knew before that I need to get in shape. I felt like I wasn't strong enough and that I needed just a little more stamina. I was still all shaky up to 2-3 hours after I got out of the water.

I just took the shoe that the strap would go in, and drilled 4-1/8 holes at the corners and rivited it to the side of my helmet.:Banane01:

From what I've seen the weak point of the stock mount is here... see pic.

This is wear you need to focus attention IMO.

I agree... run a strap over it to keep it from stressing there

Anyone taken any more video with one of these? Someone handed me footage in Daytona but I thought it turned out pretty bad. I'm looking for some more comparisons. Thanks
