Jury is still out on the mystery riders, so here it goes:

His highness evidently didn’t read the thread and seems to have thought I was asking about Jero while in Daytona, as opposed to Oside (my fault). For another reason, I am thinking he did not know the guys that day, but I will post back up if he figures it out (or ask him to ask Mike).

It was toward the end of the session. I was on reserve and killed it to hang on the outside, relax and watch (VERY cool show I must admit…many riders, perfect tow-in surf, was even breaking inside the inlet again). The Aussie was on the wave directly in front of me, parallel, both of us rolling in sync. I could only see his upper body movements for the most part, my vision blocked by the back of his wave. It was like watching a ballerina perform pirouette variations on a stage while the curtains hung half-way open and upside down, (except he was anything but ghey looking, hahaha, looked extremely nice actually). For the most part, I could not even see his ski (just the pole); he was intentionally not breaching the lip (close as he could though, obviously), and that was one thing which was interesting about it all. He was not approaching the wave and simply turning to ride it back out; he was not even making multiple approaches for each rotation (he may have even surpassed a 360 on a few rotations. I am not sure, for it was some time ago).

That is why I mentioned it over breakfast that day, and why the guy ended up rehashing whatever the mechanics were with Mike. He was nonchalant and humble about it all I recall (very cool), while Mike seemed rather intrigued/surprised via questioning him in detail (guess I should have paid more attention). I have no idea what it actually looked like face-side, but I imagine it was pretty nice and would like to see it again for sure (which is why I am bothering :Banane37:). I remember telling everyone it seemed like it would be an excellent “transitional” maneuver to pull while in between two separate tricks for added flair, for it was definitely a finesse type of movement…extremely fluid, which is what I like best. If we can find out who it was, maybe he will have some vid. I am pretty sure one of those two guys had a helcam that day, but for some reason I am thinking it crashed.

I wonder how things went in Pismo this morning.

I am going to wade into the madness that is this thread. I enjoy riding one handed on flatwater and in the surf. I think it makes you a more fluid rider and forces you to adjust your ride style accordingly. It is great practice for all riders wanting to improve their riding.

Has anyone else tried riding normal stance one handed using their left hand on the throttle? I can ride on flatwater fairly well this way, but it is extremely hard in surf.

BTW can we all just get along? I dont expect that we all should ride the same type of ski, ride the same water and conditions, have the same mods, have the same ride style, etc., etc. But why does anyone want that?

I like what and where and how i ride, it works for me. I am always trying to learn and try new things, but some things aren't for me, but i don't mind that others follow their own path, ride and do what they like. Can't we all come together as freeriders and support each others choices as individuals without all the madness that some of these threads become? Or do some of us enjoy baiting each other with silliness or closemindedness?

I am proud to announce the arrival of the sports newest publication Big Surf Magazine!!!

The first issue will be dropping next month and it is packed with awesome pictures and articles loaded with good information for riders of all skill levels!!

Highlighted in this issue will be a six page how-to article featuring PROFESSIONAL surfrider Stanton High breaking down his stylish and powerful one handed style! Stanton, having already mastered two handed riding is now pushing the sport in a whole new direction, more closely resembling the the ancient and sacred sport of surfing than anything we have seen done on a pwc before! You have to look closely on some of the pictures to make sure he is in fact riding a personal watercraft! Here is a sneak peak from the article, "My one handed riding is really taking the sport to a new level, riding with one hand really lets me flow with the wave and allows me to do my turns right in the curl! If the waves get big I really step up my game, when i drag my hand on the face of the wave it looks just like Im a surfer! I had a guy come up to me at the beach the other day wanting my autograph thinking I was Kelly Slater!! Wait until you guys see me out there, Im RIPPING!!!!!"

Also featured in this issue IFWA world title contender Zack "Dingo" Bright will give us a rundown on setting up your pwc for high performance wave riding. When traveling the world riding exotic locations it is a must that your ski is setup properly. Dingo will focus on the more important parts of ski setup like proper sticker placement and how to mount your go pro camera. You never want to be on the water without proper documentation. When you are going as big as The Dingo the consequences are so high that you dont want to take the chance that the sick move you just landed wasn't seen by the mere mortals that are lucky enough to gaze in your direction. If nobody sees how big you go you might as well just stay at home. If you ever want your dreams of becoming a rich and famous world champion like The Dingo is it is important to be boastful in nature. Dingo will also touch on the subject of shameless self promotion using free online tools such as X-h2o.com and Facebook. If u want to make it big in the ultra competitive world of PWC you have to read these tips! The Dingo will also teach you how to transform that old Nordic Track collecting dust in the garage into a sick set of super flip bars. If you have any dreams of stepping up to the big leagues and competing with the legends at the prestigious surf slam you will have to have a superflip in your bag of tricks.

Yearly subscriptions run $12.99 a great value for all the amazing content you will receive! But wait, if u sight up for a two year subscription for $21.99 you will be entered into the contest to win an autographed teeshirt by the entire ifwa pro tour!!!!!

This is not something you want to miss!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad we have you here to help us, your posts are so insightful and constructive. You must spend a lot of time coming up with the content. Will you have time when high school resumes to enlighten us with more posts? Maybe you can sneak your phone into study hall and keep these threads on track.

Thanks for all you bring to the X.
I would have used my "thanks" button but I already it used it today.

I will not even bother with the punctuation, but you receive an A++ for creativity, so be proud of yourself! You really must send me your drafts to edit, prior to press; I did it for Zack, so it is only fair.
