NorthEast Florida riders...Daytona Freeride??

FYI...This was posted in the riding group section as well:) Just trying to get the word out...


Hey everyone

I typically ride with Jvann13 and SoulMan but my ski has been down for a rebuild since February:(

We got it running last weekend and plan on riding Saturday if anyone wants to joins us. We will probably head out to either Huguenot or Vilanos, here in Jacksonville, for some surf. We hope there are waves. We want to work on our tricks for the freeride buit we can always practice our flat water stuff as well.

We are also interested in getting together regularly to ride and possibly take a convoy down to the Daytona freeride. We will be there early Friday morning for the clinics, staying through Sunday.

In the summer, we typically ride at Huguenot so if anyone is interested please let me know. We always welcome new friends for some stand-up fun and dirt biking as well

Brrr, high of only 53 in Jax on Sat & Sun. I'll be on my dirtbike locally insted of heading down to ski.
What ski do you have jloria? There's usually a decent sized standup posse at Huguenot on most Saturday's.

I have a stock 2000 SJ with a brand new paint job. Looks like a Shelby mustang now:)

The hull has been reinforced. Too many new parts to list but I pretty much overhauled the whole ski. I will start on some engine mods next year:) It now has footholds, handholds, and a blowsion scupper. I ran a single bilge over the summer but now I am running 2. I'll post some pics later.

We'll be out there just before noon on Saturday. If anyone wants to meet us out, send me a pm and I will give u my number.

I'm parting out my dirt bike soon. We'll see how quickly I can get everything sold. Dang these things r expensive but they sure are fun!!:Banane36:

Damn, my ski will be back together this week and I'm actually off this weekend. Not sure if I want to freeze my ass off though.

jloria, maybe I will catch you out at Hugunot sometime. I rode out there a couple months ago and had a blast.

lol you floridians don't realize how nice you have it. my cousin lives in jupiter and refuses to go surfing without a full wetsuit. i come down to visit and its like a bathtub...warmer than the water gets in the dead of summer up in NY....

sorry to be hating...i'm just reallll jealous you guys are still riding and i'm shoveling snow lol

i just winterized her yesterday because we were at like 20*...i'm sure she'll come out for one or two more rides before christmas...

i'm just sayin...i'm jealous that they can ride through lol...

yeah, i here yah. I wish i could convince others to come ride when it is soo cold. Just us hardcore guys left out up here. :grouphug:

J, you should get in touch with Idok for Auggie, nice spot. Also, I will shoot a link of this thread to an extremely experienced rider via email. He doesn’t really post on this site much, but he is currently monitoring the Monster Bash thread to ride with us down south here, at some point. His name is Scott, and he rides Hugo with a crew from Savannah, GA (lives there). You will see some nice things from his riding style, promise (pretty br’s for starters), and he is an awesome wingman out there to boot….one of the “older dudes rule” riders. We’ll be at Hugo at some point, when I drive up to visit my father and some friends, so someone will let you know (won’t be soon for me though, idk, maybe around Christmas, that sounds nice, depending on weather temp)...he rides regularly though…imagine he might shoot you a pm next time. You are good with either spot/either rider for a good surf partner via safety.

i hear ya woody... i just put my winter wheels and tires on my car. i had to pull it in the garage blast the heat to about 75 to get alll the ice and snow off my car. damn below 30 degree weather... id kill to ride in 55 degree floridia weather

Hey jloria I have a brother that lives in Middleburg. Now that gas prices are a little more sane. I plan to start making the 6 hour trip from Greenville, SC hopefully once a month. I'll be givin a shout out soon!:Banane35:

I agree with WOODY...who cares about the cold. My friends can tell you that I am a little girl when it comes to the cold but that's what they make wetsuits for.
