St.Louis Crew will be planning some rides to Kincaid lake very soon this is one of my favorite places to ride because we always have a large group.

We will have many local trips before the ozarks ride.

I wanted to ask you about that sound... from my experiences, it seems that sound is a "get the ******** away from me" sound that they use w/ each other only. I have never heard them do that to a person or because of a person.

Is that a unhappy sound???

NO!!!!! Pigs will never be as happy as they can be alone... They NEED buddies!!!!

The Penguin

triple secret probation
yeah, but i dont think my adolescent weimaraner is a good buddy for a cavey im afraid he would try to hurt the piggy if i got one or 2
definately not. weims are bred to hunt, and anything small and furry near a weim should be not be left unsupervised.

unless you want something that is small, furry and dead.

ahhh... I misunderstood you. I thought you had one Cavy

that was my bad wording. my cavey passed a couple of years ago before i had the dog.

and peng is right on, small and furry=instant chase! he goes apechit over bunnies but he has never caught one

There's 2 purrs that sound very similar. One is the back off sound (I hear that one sometimes). They also have a happier sound, softer, less jiggling of the cavy, that is their happy purr. I don't get to hear that very often.

ok... I do notice a slight difference in the purring, thanks.

the one that cracks me up is the asthma sounding wheeking they make when you scratch their back... You got to look at their mouths while they do it... so damn funny

Piggies and bunnies have the cutest noses, don't they?
