you also could have attached the limiting rope where you bolted your hoodstraps too........... also, what kind of material is that (the bolts) that you used to mount the rope to the hull. Is it stainless.

clean ski!

pretty sure its just zinc plated steel, i dont see any corrosion on it yet tho. hardware stores dont sell alot of stainless :banghead:
attach the limiting rope to one of those little screws for the strap? nah. the cable tie is SOLID. made an oversized back plate for it too.
thx!

stan...let me know if you need stainless hardware...i can get anything down here...my limiting rope eyelet didnt last one ride though..it pulled strait the first time my ski got rolled up in some whitewater...guess ill have to run a really thick one..if i didnt have it i can only imagine what my pole area would have looked like...i guess something has to break

The old saying you learn something new every day is sooo true.

I don't think I EVER noticed it on any ski ever.

i belive that the force of a ski falling 10-15ft out of the sky and landing on its side can shell out enough force to "pop" hoods off, plus them calerforians and their medical cards probally "forget" to lock the latch!!:sneaky:

BTW i have exactly zero experience in the surf so im just guessin:biggthumpup:

yea im sure its for such events to keep the ski in one pieces even if it does shatter into pieces, but i know im not ready for anything so spectacular just yet, i mean right now i know about ZERO tricks!! :woot:
