Preaty simple question here,

Two of my motor mounts broke.
Do I---
  • buy oems from a dealer
  • used ones form ebay
  • new ones from ebay Item number: 4611859010
  • buy aftermarkt (what companies and I would rather not spend big money )
  • Spend big money on kenny keepers and good mounts
  • other brands, places to get them, thoughts, experiences

Last option, not on your list....buy Wamilton's Mounts, for less than new OEMs, better quality, have money left over for Kenney Keepers.

Jr Magoos sells Monkey Grips. I think they are around 35-40 each. I just got some and haven't really tested them, but if Paul is selling them they should hold up.

I use Wammer Mounts, but if the others are the same, I would like to know for sure... are ya sure of that???

I was told by the distributor of the Monkey Grips that they came from the same place that Wammer gets his. Also I have seen them both side by side and construction is identical. I can't guarantee that the durometer of the rubber is the same but I know when installed they both feel like the engine is "hard mounted", compared to the "gooey" feel of the stockers. And as stated by mb112, if the're good enough for Paul, they must be damn good! Thats all I got bro...

i just ordered 4 new ones from parker....24.99 each or something like that.....

i have broke just as many oems as wammers.....but make sure to put in all 4, keep the other 2 as spares....


and KK's all the way..

Idok what are you doing that you keep breaking mounts with keepers?

I'd vote for the monkey grips and keepers. Unless you are Idok you will not break those for a while!

Runaway...aka...(drilling for oil in the pacafic) does huge flips in like 1 foot of water and hits the bottom from time to time :cool2: and he said w/ the keepers he is still using the original OEM mounts. So moral of the story, get keepers and monkey grips and you will be money..

Ok so I will call Magoo back and have him send me 4 mounts with the package Ill have coming from him.

yamaslut I called Magoo and everything is straight. Hell be waiting to get it from you.

I saw some one sell Kenny keppers online for like 45 buck. I hate buying new ($75).

Any one wanna sell me a pair. The only polcae I have seen them for sell are Blowsion.

Ross...i dont know man.......I guess i pancake to the side alot......but its been awhile since Ive had fresh mounts (i replaced right before the daytona ride..)

Seen loads of those crappy monkey grips fall apart in no time, even in freshwater use.

Id say get OEM's and Kenney Kepers :)

Cane be done in orange too if you ask John nice :)
