^^^ Good question, but its gona be a little while....
First I think everyone should ride this boat (with sxr bottom hull desighn).... people are so stuck on the squirly/shietty handling desighn of the Superjet that they often dont want a SXR because they here about how heavy they are, and how much they suck for freestyle.
Only half of that statement is true. Yes a stock hull SXR sucks for freestyle (even with big power) WHY? The weight! That is why everyone says buy a superjet.... SJ is 60lbs lighter then stock SXR.
Now as Malone found out a few years ago, the SXR is a great handling freestyle boat after shaving off alot of weight.... Hints why the EME hull is based off a SXR lower :headbang: So after Bobby built Malones EME Molds (upper, lower, Hood, ext.) they split ways, and Bobby had to start over.
So what Is the Trinity hull all about?
Its a 66lb surf hull! He uses the most advanced laminate schedule ever seen in the PWC industry.... there is not one stitch of fiberglass in this all carbon and Kevlar hull.... NO FOAM CORE I honestly do not think Pancake Pete could break this boat.... Its is that strong!
The hood is built just as top notch, weighing in at 7lbs, with hardware.
So a little recap.
Stock sxr weighs 350lbs.
Stock SXR Hull only weighs 150lbs.
Hood weighs 22lbs no fire ext. I think
Trinity Surf hull and Surf hood weigh 73lbs. ( including scupper and exhaust)
Stock SXR hull and hood weigh 172lbs.
You are truley saving 100lbs with a Trinity Hull and Hood setup.
Final weight of a SXR would be right at 250lbs, and thats is you leave the heavy waterbox, exhuast, fuel tank, battery and everything else in it.
I dont see any reason why one of these boats could get into to 220lb-230lb range.... and remember, this is a industructible surf hull....
In the future he will also be building this same hull, with a little bit lighter layup (still using the same unbelievable materials, and vacum bagging) and it will be a Flatwater/light-medium/heavy surf boat, depending on rider experience.
Is there anyone (but Bobby) in the Jetski world that can say they are the Third Generation of Composites in there family? Doubt it.
This guy knows more then others can dream.
Make sure to check out the Legdrag booth at World Finals for the Trinity Composites/ X-metal boat.... its sure to be the highest quality watercraft hull you have ever seen.
