I dont know if I'm way off or it has always been like that, but is that a thermostat on the head??? thats new to me. but kick ass ride.

That looks great they are coming along pretty fast. I keep stopping by the site and run my mouse across the PWC link on their site waiting for it to say SJ Hull. Then I will run to get the credit card...

^^^ Good question, but its gona be a little while....

First I think everyone should ride this boat (with sxr bottom hull desighn).... people are so stuck on the squirly/shietty handling desighn of the Superjet that they often dont want a SXR because they here about how heavy they are, and how much they suck for freestyle.

Only half of that statement is true. Yes a stock hull SXR sucks for freestyle (even with big power) WHY? The weight! That is why everyone says buy a superjet.... SJ is 60lbs lighter then stock SXR.

Now as Malone found out a few years ago, the SXR is a great handling freestyle boat after shaving off alot of weight.... Hints why the EME hull is based off a SXR lower :headbang: So after Bobby built Malones EME Molds (upper, lower, Hood, ext.) they split ways, and Bobby had to start over.

So what Is the Trinity hull all about?

Its a 66lb surf hull! He uses the most advanced laminate schedule ever seen in the PWC industry.... there is not one stitch of fiberglass in this all carbon and Kevlar hull.... NO FOAM CORE I honestly do not think Pancake Pete could break this boat.... Its is that strong!

The hood is built just as top notch, weighing in at 7lbs, with hardware.

So a little recap.

Stock sxr weighs 350lbs.

Stock SXR Hull only weighs 150lbs.

Hood weighs 22lbs no fire ext. I think

Trinity Surf hull and Surf hood weigh 73lbs. ( including scupper and exhaust)

Stock SXR hull and hood weigh 172lbs.

You are truley saving 100lbs with a Trinity Hull and Hood setup.

Final weight of a SXR would be right at 250lbs, and thats is you leave the heavy waterbox, exhuast, fuel tank, battery and everything else in it.

I dont see any reason why one of these boats could get into to 220lb-230lb range.... and remember, this is a industructible surf hull....

In the future he will also be building this same hull, with a little bit lighter layup (still using the same unbelievable materials, and vacum bagging) and it will be a Flatwater/light-medium/heavy surf boat, depending on rider experience.

Is there anyone (but Bobby) in the Jetski world that can say they are the Third Generation of Composites in there family? Doubt it.

This guy knows more then others can dream.

Make sure to check out the Legdrag booth at World Finals for the Trinity Composites/ X-metal boat.... its sure to be the highest quality watercraft hull you have ever seen.

I have to agree here. After riding the SXR stock hull for 2 years and building up the HP, I am almost fully convinced the SXR hull is the way to go. I originally bought the SXR because I figured it was the newest design and would sooner or later become the norm. The SJ has been around since 96 and the SXR since 03. I knew it would be more expensive in the long run, but I figured it's a better design. After 2 years of riding from coming off a couch, and being an old fart, I think the SXR has a few advantages over the now old style 96-07 SJ hull. The stock hull can be BR, and BF, imagine 100 lbs less!! Now if I can just keep that damn boat anchor of a stock hood on!!! LOL

I imagine most feel that way, but I wouldn't group everybody together like that. Just ask Enzo. He had that XFT hull with an SXR bottom, and he hated it. I rode the thing and I didn't really like it either even though at the time I was riding an SXR.

People say that the SJ has shotty handling. I kinda like it and I wouldn't mind a slightly smaller ski than the SJ. Maybe a FX-1 with a SJ top weighing in at about 220 ready to ride... That would be a great ski.

I am still waiting on a Trinity SJ... also I really don't like Green ....

Just saw this on Trinity's site. I was talking to Bobby about this boat yesterday. Light weight sxr with Polaris big bore. Not sure about specs:noevil:

I am honored that people judge skis on how I beat them... Cool ! :headbang:
Thank you..

That hull looks pretty cool. Hopefully, I will get to see it at daytona !

have spent enough time on an sxr IN THE SURF to know that I wouldnt want to go that direction...

I dont doubt the quality one bit.......

does -100lbs make it handle that much BETTER? (different yes, but better????)

I have ridden a full wammer sxr locally both on flat and surf....it was fun to rail around the bay, but still didnt care for it as a surfrider

I imagine though if you attatch a 900+cc motor its going to change the handling quite a bit........

Bobby didnt start with manicans.... he started with Carbon flying machines. :haha: Your comparing apples to oranges..... Ride this boat before making a final decision :swordfight:

Are you trying to say that Malone doesnt know whats going on, after so many people have said that the EME is the best handeling freestyle machine they have ever ridden?...... This boat is what Malone should still be riding today. :wavey: And he knows it. :sadwavey:

This is a dawn of a new error.

Some day people will figure out what this boat is really made of.

I rode a SX-R in the surf for 2 years and It was great but with 2 flaws 1. weight 2. would bury the nose. It seams the bobby has fixed one problem and tubbies would fix the other. I regret at time getting rid of it.

With all the weight taken from the boat, there is no need to add sponsons.... In this boat there is no front water box, the battery is between the tank and motor, and the tanks is a Jazz 2 gallon... the boat will not dive down in waves. :Banane25:

i have a hard time believing it could be a 220-230 boat, polaris motors have weight, mag pumps have weight. I wonder if there's any 220sj's for that matter. I know that my 65lb hull complete with my mag and 66e motor was 280. my hull was practically the same weight, my motor doesn't weigh 50lbs heavier than a big bore polaris motor. I'm not doubting bobby's ability, i just think the weights are off. I cant wait to check it out in havasu, because i fell the sxr hull is going to be the way to go in the future with bigger motors.

Hey Bronson, lighten up, Idok is posting his opinions on the SXR's and even a lightweight Wammer SXR, he is entitled to his opinions as much as you are.. But no reason to jump on his case about it........ This is getting old......

word up!

Yes I agree this boat with Polaris Motor Is heavier then it could be... but it still feels noticibly lighter then My 270lb boat... Hard to say without a scale.

I was refering to what one could way with a Kaw, or Yamaha motor.

The pump is a 145 Mag...
