KTM maybe?

no, i was referring to L cross down here. it was literally on some guys farm in the middle of his land somewhere between the cow pasture, just past the mud pit, and to the left of where the goats graze. we had to wait for him to shoo the cows off the track before we could ride!

I agree on the safety gear... great idea.

Yes but it doesn't have to be expensive. I bought a Fox V3 helemt for 160, Marks Bell Moto for 160. These are $400 dollar helmets. I found alpinestar tech 6's for 99 on closeout. I think I bought top of the line gear for Mark and I and I only paid between $300 and $400 dollars for each of us for everything. Just becuse it was 08 gear...

My bike has some hours on it so I will be changing fork oil and I needed to change the fork springs and rear spring because of my weight but other than that I am set.

Compared to jet skiing this is a cheaper sport in my opinion. Hours of riding for Mark and I and we might end up using .5 gallon of gas. The parts seem cheaper as well. But in the end it is all about the fun, and right now this is fun!

yep, i usually buy last years gear too for the same reasons. my v3 this year is the last year stewart replica that got discontinued. i do wear only tech 8's or 10's though.

i think you guys are green enough still (just a few weeks, right?) that the repair/maintenance bills havent started coming in just yet. those are the real killers. :eek:uch: even on two strokes, money is still money!

not quite. KTMs have really small master cylinders and the boil brake fluid quickly. flush and bleed the brakes. while you are at it do the clutch too. The check and regrease your steering, wheel, swingarm, and Hiem berings.

THEN you are done...more or less.

I say you just save your money :Banane19: OR don't listen to anyone else and do what in the heck you want :moon: It is like choosing between a kawi, a square nose, round nose...blahblahblah...everyone has their opinion and thinks it is best.

You can just not buy one and save it to take your beautiful, totally awesome wife on a trip somewhere ....just sayin :bananapowerslide:

you sound like Jen....Guess what..In 6 months G's dirtbike will be worth a little more, or a little less than what he paid for it.

guess what a trip is worth the day after its over?

and besides, why would we ever want to take a vacation where we couldnt take our dirtbikes and jetskis?

"just sayin'"

$@#%&*&*%$^%%$**#%^ crap. I just read that the best place around here to ride within 100 miles just got bought by a greenie land trust and is closed to OHV's. That really puts a kink in my plans. I may have to rethink all this.

a ktm isnt an OHV
