$2100 is more that you are willing to spend on this sport?

you're right... it's not for you. you'll have that just in your protective gear.

Buy yourself an old XR200R Honda, decent bike ,pro link suspension, fairly lightweight and a bulletproof engine,as long as you keep the air filter clean and the oil halfass changed it will run forever, they can be found pretty cheap and for what you are doing with it it will be plenty,if you want to go faster later you can always do an exhaust and a 28 Mikuni flatslide carb and go much faster without sacrificing reliability.Thats about as good a piece of advice as I can give ya.

do you have autographs of the 10yr old kids that beat you around the track??? Since we are asking questions and all...

hell yeah! you gotta remember the names too! that :):):):)ll be worth big money someday!

there's no shame in the game... but you gotta at least be man enough to play! .. beep beep.. :spankme:

that's where we differ, I don't care about any game, I don't even listen to rap... I just like to zip through the woods as fast as I can...

Seriously, I don't think the track mentality is what I'm going after... Most of the people seem to be rather duechtastic.... Seems like the flatwater freestyle of riding bikes... I am not prepared to buy neck braces and pay some dick 40$ everytime I want to ride either... You can have all the awesome cool guys w/ their awesome cool bikes and pretend you are gonne be the next Bubba.... That's just not what people who really ride more than 1hr per day are looking for.... I know a lot of that time goes into getting autographs and pretending like you know the A riders, but damn the least you could do is ride your bike more than you polish it up.... he he he..

was that good???:burnout:

So far no was has told you what the 300 is like. This bike has a predictable power delivery is light and the brakes and suspension are great. This may sound funny but it is 2-stroke that thinks its a 4-stroke power delivery wise. Please save your comments unless you have ridden one.If you find out what is going on with the title use that to talk him down.KTM dealer in your area could give it a once over before you buy.If the seller won't agree to letting the bike be checked out.walk away! Those are really fun bikes to ride.

Thanks. I emailed the guy about the title after I talked to the local dmv. They said that he would first have to title it himself unless possibly he had the MSO and it wasn't filled out to him and was blank. They said that would only work if they could look at it first so I'm going to see if he can email it to me to fax to them blah blah blah. It is definitely a bargaining chip. I doubt the guy will ever want to title it himself so I don't really have much hope unless someone knows of a magic loophole.

If you want to talk to someone who really knows these bikes. He may know how to deal with the title/mso.Call Ron Bishop 760-747-1360 He runs a motorcycle shop that sells Ktm and Husky in Escondido,Calif..He is a one man operation.Sales,Parts,Service you will be talking to him.Friendly, knowledgeable.Who can say they have ridden the Baja 1000 every year since 1967? He can! He is in the motorcycle hall of fame.Good Luck!

i freakin LOVE my 300. i wouldnt trade it for any other bike(except maybe a newer 300) every time i ride it all i can think is how perfect it is.You can ride it a gear high and lug it all day or you can do a little shifting and clutch work and punish the tire. I dont know if its faster than the 450s but it sure feels like it.

yeah, it definitely has more torque than mine... It's easy to see how my bike has to work harder by watching you ride yours... I would love to trade up some day, but I don[t see that happening anytime soon....

I've rode a 300EXC and a 525EXC. The 300 feels more like the 525 in terms of power to me.

Make sure you get one with a street title like others have said. I've seen a few where the owners got them titled, but it says offroad on the title. In KY the title will just say motorcycle if it's street legal. You can't get a tag for it if it says offroad on title.
