Can you install Kenney Keepers in an FX-1 or a Blaster without removing the motor?
Really?
I didn't know that.
I should call Blowsion tomorrow and ask if they make them.
Also, anybody consider putting them on the rear mounts as well as the front ones?
I was thinking of buying two sets for both skis, but I think the angle of the bed plate might be different in the rear. I'm concerned that the motor would slide back and crush the midshaft, maybe more. I'm an old man now, and my tail landings tend to me harder than my nose stabs nowadays.
Or I might just be an idiot. (I'll go with that).
From all the reading I've done on the issue I've always heard that normal kenny keepers will not work on an FX-1. In addition, people don't run them in the rear because the coupler itself keeps the engine from sliding backwards. The main concern is when the engine slides forward with nothing to stop it except the flexible rubber on the motor mounts.
